My friend was telling me about some book that said all patriarchal societies have had a lot of meat in their diets, while matriarchal and egalitarian societies have not.

Watching RuPaul’s Drag Race. A) it has the best (and raciest) word play on television and B) unlike other “model competition” shows, the contestents reveal their own secrets and impediments rather than being exploited for publicity (looking at you Tyra.) I also like that they show the “girls” as men, including Ru, which really emphasizes the art and humanity of drag....
